Calling all youth artists, crafters, and DIY makers! Discover exciting new artistic mediums and enhance your skills in painting, drawing, graffiti art, quilling, nature art, or cardboard assemblage, to name a few. Unleash your creativity and express yourself through these diverse art forms. Let's create something amazing together!
For children, ages 6-12 years, who enjoy spending time making art and trying out new materials and artistic styles.
-
What to Expect: Students will learn how to make 1- 3 art projects based on a certain art technique and style. They may work with various mediums, including watercolor paints, pastels and cardboard assemblage.
-
Activities: Projects may include painting landscapes, creating abstract art, and exploring mixed media. Students will also play games and have plenty of movement opportunities through out the day. Including a daily nature and art walk, weather dependent.
-
Goals: To build confidence in their artistic abilities and develop further their style. The hope is to finish all art projects and showcase their art the end of the session. But really, making art is about the process, so that may be the student's final goal.
-
What to bring: Students should bring a lunch, a sun hat, and close-toed shoes. All art supplies and snack will be provided.
